Thijs Bol (Associate Professor UvA), Mathijs de Vaan and Arnout van de Rijt (Professor UU) received two awards for their paper “The Matthew Effect in Science Funding”
The authors received the James Coleman Outstanding Article Award for the article. The celebrating ceremony took place in New York in August.
Also, they won the 2019 International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) paper of the year award.
The article was published in PNAS 115 (19): 4887-4890.
